Hello, what are you looking for?

Why won't my coder print?

There is comprehensive on-board help in the Marsh 241D to help get you printing quickly. Here are some extra tips.

If your 241D coder is not printing, the most likely causes are:

  1. The print signal is missing or faulty.
    1. You need to check the print signal from the host packaging machine is working correctly and you may need to refer to the host packaging machine documentation for help with that.
    2. The Marsh 241D App also provides a very useful Diagnostic tool for checking the Print Signal. Follow these steps:
      1. Launch the 241D App
      2. Connect to the coder (here's how)
      3. Select Coder Control -> Diagnostics -> Inputs & Outputs
      4. View the status of the Print Signal on the Inputs & Outputs screen
  2. The 241D Coder is either Stopped (Status LED is Red) or has a Fault (Status LED is Red and one other LED is also RED)
    1. If the 241D is Stopped, simply press the VARY button and the Status LED will turn green and your coder will print.
    2. If the 241D is in Fault, connect the App and use it's Fault description screen to tell you what the cause of the fault is.

If you have checked these things and still have an issue, we recommend you use the Marsh 241D App Troubleshooting utility.
